Safety for patients and staff
Regular servicing checks that your X-ray equipment is working as it should, supporting your obligations under the Ionising Radiations Regulations.
Planned servicing for your intraoral X-ray, phosphor plate scanners, OPG and CBCT, so your equipment stays safe, your images stay sharp and your paperwork is always in order.
Different equipment has different service intervals. Here is how often each needs servicing over a three-year period.
Regular servicing protects your patients, your team, your images and your diary.

Worn parts, drift and dirt slowly degrade images. Servicing keeps diagnostic quality where it should be.
Problems found at a planned service are far cheaper and less disruptive than a unit failing mid-clinic.
Every service is documented, so you have the paperwork ready when you need to show it.
Each service follows the manufacturer's procedure for your equipment, and ends with a report for your records.
Intraoral X-ray generators, panoramic (OPG) units and most phosphor plate scanners should be serviced every year. Dürr Dental VistaScan plate scanners are serviced every three years. CBCT units are serviced every year.
A short quality-assurance check that the practice carries out each month to confirm the CBCT is still producing consistent images. Keeping up with it every month is what allows the RPA Critical Exam to move from every year to every three years.
Dürr Dental sets a three-year service interval for its VistaScan phosphor plate scanners. Other makes are generally serviced every year.
No. Servicing maintains the equipment itself. It does not replace the checks and advice from your Radiation Protection Adviser, and we are happy to work alongside them.
Get in touch with the make and model of your equipment and we will let you know. As an authorised Dürr Dental and MyRay dealer, we service both ranges.
We plan visits around your diary, often before or after clinic hours, so surgeries are not taken out of action when you need them.
Tell us what equipment you have and when it was last serviced, and we will get you booked in.
